A traditional devotion on the seven Sundays before March 19. Each Sunday meditates on one of Joseph's seven greatest sorrows paired with the joy that followed, mirroring the pattern of the Christian life: every cross carries within it the seed of a resurrection. Enriched with a plenary indulgence by Pope Pius IX.

Written by Pope Leo XIII in his 1889 encyclical Quamquam Pluries to invoke Joseph's protection over the universal Church, which Pope Pius IX had entrusted to him as patron in 1870. Pope Francis asked that it be added to the end of the daily Rosary.

An adaptation of the beloved Memorare prayer, addressed to St. Joseph. St. Faustina prayed it every day at Joseph's own request. Tradition holds that no one who has prayed it with sincerity has ever been left without an answer.

St. Joseph is the patron of the dying because tradition holds that he died with Jesus on one side and Mary on the other. There is no better death. This prayer asks Joseph to obtain for you the grace of a holy death, with the sacraments of the Church, the name of Jesus on your lips, and his protection at the final hour.

The Litany of St. Joseph is an approved litany of the Catholic Church, invoking Joseph under his many titles. Approved by Pope Pius X in 1909 and expanded by Pope Francis in 2021 with seven new invocations. Each title is a door you can walk through to find his intercession.
